Gwangju Police Investigate Spreader of False Information Related to Murder Case
Gwangju police have begun investigating a person who defamed the victim and spread misinformation online in connection with a murder case.
Police announced on the 14th that this is a follow-up measure to their statement on the 12th, declaring they would "resolutely deal with actions causing secondary harm to victims."
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency will maintain a continuous monitoring system to respond to actions causing secondary harm to victims. In cooperation with relevant organizations such as the Korea Communications Standards Commission, they will concurrently proceed with measures to delete and block posts to prevent further damage from spreading online.
