Cho Kuk Raises Concern Over Rival's Alleged Shadow Loan Business

Cho Kuk, a candidate for the Pyeongtaek B constituency by-election under the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, stated on the 23rd that allegations of his rival Kim Yong-nam of the Democratic Party 'operating a loan business through a nominee' would have a negative impact not only on the Pyeongtaek B by-election but on the entire pro-reform camp.

A previous media report had raised allegations that Kim received dividends by operating a loan business through a nominee via a company he owns. In response, Kim's side denied the allegations, stating that the company operated normally in accordance with legal procedures.

Candidate Cho expressed concern that these allegations could negatively affect the Pyeongtaek B by-election and the broader pro-reform camp, as the controversy over the shadow loan business allegations escalates into an offensive against rival candidates during the election period.
