10 Days to Local Elections: Parties Mobilize for Final Rallies

With the local elections and National Assembly by-elections scheduled for June 3 now just 10 days away, each political party is pouring its final efforts into securing victory.

In the early stages of the campaign, the Democratic Party had anticipated favorable results based on the president's high approval ratings. However, as election day draws nearer, fierce contests are now expected in the capital city of Seoul and parts of the Yeongnam region.

The two major parties have identified six of the 16 metropolitan mayoral election districts as key battlegrounds: Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and Chungnam.
