Amidst the bustling election campaigns leading up to the June 3 local elections, incidents of election banner vandalism have occurred in numerous locations nationwide.
On the morning of May 24, burn-like marks were discovered on an election banner for Yang Hyang-ja, a Gyeonggi Province gubernatorial candidate from the People Power Party. The candidate's side notified the police and the election commission of the damage and requested an investigation.
