Police have requested an arrest warrant for Kim Se-ui, the head of the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Institute', on charges of spreading false information using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Kim is accused of using AI-manipulated voice files and conversations to disseminate claims that actor Kim Soo-hyun dated actress Kim Sae-ron since they were minors. This alleged dissemination has reportedly caused significant damage to Kim Soo-hyun's acting career, including the cancellation of appearance contracts and involvement in lawsuits for damages.

This case highlights the destructive potential when 'cyber leeches', individuals who spread falsehoods for subscriber profits, combine with advanced technologies.
