Iran's Proxy War Escalates, Threatening US Homeland

As Iran escalates its proxy war, directly targeting the US mainland, American judicial authorities have responded by indicting individuals linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Since 1979, Iran has countered the US and Western nations using various asymmetric tactics, including terrorism, proxy forces, fundraising, and cyberattacks. Recently, it has expanded its operational scope beyond Latin America, leveraging criminal networks and migration flows within the United States.

The US Department of Justice has indicted Mohammad Baqir Sa'di Dawood Al-Saadi, a senior commander within an Iraqi militia affiliated with the IRGC. He is accused of commanding attacks targeting Jewish communities, Israel, and the United States across Europe and North America, including a planned assault on a synagogue in Manhattan, New York. Al-Saadi allegedly made contact with smuggling networks linked to Mexican cartels and criminal collaborators across the Western Hemisphere to prepare for attacks targeting the US mainland. These operations were conducted under the banner of a new front group named 'Harakat Ashab Al-Yameen Al-Islamiya (HAYI),' designed to appear independent while advancing the objectives of KH, Hezbollah, and the IRGC.

Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that a nuclear deal is not imminent, despite ongoing negotiations with the US.
