Samsung Electronics' First HBM4E Shipment Propels KOSPI to Record High

Bolstered by the news of Samsung Electronics' first shipment of its high-performance semiconductor, HBM4E, South Korea's benchmark KOSPI index has once again set a new all-time high. The KOSPI closed at 8476.15, marking a 290.86-point (3.55%) increase from the previous day.

Samsung Electronics surged on the news of its initial HBM4E shipment, surpassing a market capitalization of 2,000 trillion won. LG affiliates, including LG Electronics, LG Innotek, and LG CNS, also led the upward trend. The stock movements of Samsung Electronics and LG affiliates drew significant attention from market participants.

The KOSDAQ index closed at 1074.80, a decrease of 29.56 points (2.68%) from the previous day.
