Former President Yoon Suk-yeol to Appear for First Special Prosecutor Probe on the 6th

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol will appear at 10 a.m. on the 6th to undergo his first questioning by the second comprehensive special prosecutor team led by Kwon Chang-young, as a suspect in alleged abuse of power related to suspicions of justifying martial law messages.

This appearance is part of the process where the second comprehensive special prosecutor team led by Kwon Chang-young is investigating key figures from the Yoon Suk-yeol administration.

This marks the first time a former president is being investigated by a special prosecutor as a suspect in approximately two years, since the "3rd Special Prosecutor" investigation in March 2022. Former President Yoon is also scheduled to be questioned on the 13th as a suspect in alleged rebellion under the Military Criminal Act.
