Park Jie-won: Yoon Suk-yeol, Lee Myung-bak, Park Geun-hye Must Be Judged Again by Vote
Park Jie-won, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea, urged the public on June 2, the day before the June 3 local elections and parliamentary by-elections, to 'punish' President Yoon Suk-yeol and former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye through their votes.
In a post on Facebook, Park criticized the situation where former President Park, who was impeached and removed from office, and former President Lee, facing corruption charges, are criticizing the incumbent president, calling it a 'regression into a state of state affairs manipulation and corruption.' He argued that they must be judged through the upcoming vote.
Park added, 'History and the people do not forget,' referencing the outcomes faced by seven former conservative presidents. He concluded by encouraging voter turnout, saying, 'Let's punish them with our votes. Let's show a democratic and transparent Korea through the ballot box.'
