Naver Cloud Partners with Nvidia to Build AI Factories

Naver Cloud will collaborate with Nvidia to become a global AI factory operator. Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won laid the groundwork for the partnership at the Nvidia Cloud Partner Summit held in Taiwan, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang are expected to meet in Korea this month to announce specific cooperation plans.

As a partner aligned with Nvidia's AI Factory platform strategy, Naver Cloud aims to solidify its leadership in AI infrastructure. The company plans to leverage Nvidia's open LLM technology, 'NeMo-3 Ultra,' to enhance its 'HyperCLOVA X' model, while jointly researching optimization and core technologies for hyperscale language models. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang officially announced Naver Cloud as a key partner in the global AI ecosystem during his GTC keynote in Taiwan. Previously, in March, Naver Cloud showcased its technological prowess by unveiling 'Seoul World Model,' a simulation of real-world data using Nvidia's Physical AI platform, 'Omniverse.'

CEO Kim Yu-won characterized the AI industry's shift from a model-centric approach to an inference-centric AI factory era focused on stable infrastructure operations. Based on this vision, he expressed Naver Cloud's ambition to proactively respond to the rapidly changing competitive landscape by utilizing its experience in operating all areas of the AI ecosystem. The company aims to position itself as a key supplier and AI infrastructure hub supporting Asian AI demand. Naver Cloud will support the development of sovereign AI models tailored to regional characteristics through partnerships with governments and local enterprises, thereby establishing itself as a central supplier and AI infrastructure hub for the Asian market.
