Candidates Rally for Final Push in Gongju-Buyeo-Cheongyang By-election

In the Gongju-Buyeo-Cheongyang by-election, Democratic Party candidate Kim Young-bin and People Power Party candidate Yoon Yong-geun made their final appeals to voters in the Gongju area on the last day of campaigning, the 2nd.

At around 7:30 AM on the 2nd, Kim Young-bin greeted commuters in Okryong-dong, Gongju, along with South Chungcheong Provincial Governor candidate Park Soo-hyun and Gongju mayoral candidate Kim Jeong-seop. He then visited market-goers in Cheongyang before returning to Gongju to continue greeting people during lunch and commute hours.

After greeting commuters in Gongju on the 2nd, Yoon Yong-geun traveled to Cheongyang Market to receive campaign support from party leader Jang Dong-hyuk and National Assembly member Sung Il-jong. Yoon later joined Jang and Gongju mayoral candidate Choi Won-cheol for a campaign tour through Gongju's city center.

Kim Hyuk-jong, who withdrew from the People Power Party to run as an independent, also visited various locations, including Gongju, on the 2nd to solicit support.
