On June 3, the main voting day for the 8th National Simultaneous Local Elections, voting was temporarily suspended at some polling stations in Seoul's Songpa District due to a lack of prepared ballot papers.

At the Munjeong 2 polling station in Songpa District, voting was temporarily halted as all prepared ballot papers were exhausted, and reports of ballot paper shortages also came in from other polling stations within the district.

This incident caused inconvenience for voters and has led to calls for a review of the election management process. The National Election Commission acknowledged the ballot paper shortage in Songpa District, is currently assessing the exact situation, and has urgently procured additional ballot papers.
