On June 3, the day of the 9th National Simultaneous Local Elections, a shortage of ballot papers occurred at some polling stations in Seoul.

Ballot paper shortages were reported at a total of 17 locations across Seoul, including the No. 6 polling station in Jamsil 2-dong, Songpa District, on the afternoon of the same day. The People Power Party stated that paper shortages occurred at numerous polling stations in districts such as Gwangjin, Dongjak, Seocho, and Gangnam.

As a result, voters were unable to cast their ballots or faced long waiting times.

The People Power Party argued that voters' rights were violated due to the ballot paper shortage and demanded a halt to the vote counting and a rerun of the elections in the affected areas.
