Coinbase AI Agent Debuts 24/7 Asset Management Capability

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has launched an 'AI Financial Agent' service that automatically manages users' assets using artificial intelligence (AI).

This service allows AI to analyze a user's portfolio and perform cryptocurrency trading and asset management on their behalf, currently supporting spot and derivatives trading. The AI agent is also set to support features for managing idle funds, exploring investment opportunities, and purchasing external data and analysis services.

Coinbase plans to expand the service's scope in the future to include stocks, index products, commodities, and prediction markets. The AI will operate strictly within an authorized portfolio, allowing users to set transaction limits, permitted assets, maximum spending amounts, and more. Anti-money laundering and transaction monitoring procedures will be applied to all trades.
