Russian Tu-22M3 Bomber Crashes During Training Flight

A Russian long-range strategic bomber, a Tupolev (Tu)-22M3, crashed while attempting to land during a training flight in Russia's Irkutsk region in Siberia. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Tu-22M3 crashed while attempting to land at the Belaya airbase in Irkutsk Oblast.

All four crew members aboard the Tu-22M3 bomber at the time of the accident successfully ejected and there were no casualties.

On the same day, a B-52 bomber crashed shortly after takeoff in California, USA, with all eight crew members reportedly killed.
