The Joint Investigation Headquarters, formed jointly by prosecutors and police, has officially intensified its probe into Lee Man-hee, the leader of Shincheonji, concerning allegations of Shincheonji members collectively joining a specific political party.

The Joint Investigation Headquarters has arrested three former Shincheonji executives (Go Dong-ahn, Hong Mo, Yang Mo) on charges of violating the Political Parties Act and obstructing business. The court cited concerns over evidence tampering and flight risk as grounds for their detention.

With the court acknowledging the necessity of detaining key executives, the Joint Investigation Headquarters has moved to secure Lee Man-hee, who is identified as the central figure of the allegations. The arrests of key executives have led to efforts to secure Lee Man-hee. During the investigation, the Joint Investigation Headquarters obtained testimony suggesting that such collective party memberships would have been impossible without Lee Man-hee's direct orders.

Concerns over evidence tampering and flight risk have been raised, and attention is now focused on whether an arrest warrant will be sought for Lee Man-hee following the detention of former executives.
