President Lee Highlights Korea's Enhanced Global Standing After Europe Trip, Conveys Stance on Steel Quotas
President Lee Jae-myung, sharing the outcomes of his European tour and attendance at the Group of Seven (G7) summit on the 19th, stated, "I viscerally felt that South Korea's standing and the international community's expectations for South Korea have definitively risen over the past year."
Regarding steel tariffs, a sharp point of contention between South Korea and Europe, he added, "As South Korea's steel quota has been significantly reduced, I firmly conveyed to the EU that such measures should not become barriers to trade."
