President Lee Jae-myung Orders All-Out Effort for Price Stability, Livelihood Recovery

President Lee Jae-myung on the 19th ordered the mobilization of all available resources to achieve price stability and livelihood recovery. The President stated, "The Blue House and the entire government must mobilize all available means with a determination to stake their lives on price stability and livelihood recovery."

In relation to the surge in heat-related illnesses due to the intense heatwave, President Lee directed a review of heatwave response manuals and thorough management of cooling shelter operations. He also remarked, "I receive daily reports of fatal industrial accidents, and recently, falls at worksites have suddenly increased," adding, "While a scientific analysis of the cause is necessary, a primary guess might be a lapse in attention due to the intense heat."

President Lee instructed a careful inspection of worksites to ensure workers can effectively exercise their right to stop work in dangerous situations, adding that improving the labor environment and guaranteeing the right to stop work would help prevent industrial accidents.
