Iran Halts Negotiations Following Trump's Threats

Negotiations between the U.S. and Iran have been suspended in protest against threats made by U.S. President Donald Trump. The Iranian delegation left the negotiation venue in defiance of President Trump's pressure. The Iranian team laid down the condition that 'if the war in Lebanon does not end, negotiations on other topics will not proceed.' This is interpreted as a reaction to President Trump's threat via social media to bomb Iran if it did not stop supporting the Iran-backed armed group Hezbollah.

The four-way talks, involving Pakistan and Qatar as mediators, were adjourned after 80 minutes. Negotiations have hit a significant roadblock with the withdrawal of the Iranian delegation. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the head of the Iranian delegation, dismissed President Trump's remarks and warned that 'the U.S. would be wise to speak cautiously.'

This incident has the potential to escalate diplomatic tensions between the U.S. and Iran and amplify security concerns in the Middle East.
