20-something inmate fined 4 million won for assaulting fellow prisoner

A man in his 20s who assaulted a fellow inmate in prison has been sentenced to a fine by the court.

Mr. A (28) committed acts of violence against Mr. B (43), with whom he was imprisoned, on four separate occasions over approximately two months, citing Mr. B's slow actions. Among these incidents was kicking Mr. B in the thigh.

The court decided on a fine of 4 million won, taking into account the assault on a fellow inmate during his time in prison. Chief Judge Jeong Jong-geon explained that the sentence was determined after comprehensively considering factors such as the defendant's prior record of similar offenses.
