Pilot Program to Offer Free Sanitary Pads at 12 Public Facilities Nationwide Begins
Starting November 6th, a support service will begin allowing anyone to access sanitary pads for free at public facilities in 12 regions across the country.
This pilot program will be conducted at approximately 500 public locations frequented by citizens, such as community centers, libraries, and youth facilities, in 12 local governments nationwide, including Gwangjin-gu and Eunpyeong-gu in Seoul, and Gwangmyeong-si and Suwon-si in Gyeonggi Province.
A total of 700 dispensers will be installed, with two sanitary pads packaged together in each dispenser. A total of 6.5 million packs are expected to be supplied during the pilot program period.
