Presidential Approval Rating Rises to 54%

According to a poll released by Korea Gallup on July 2, 2026, the current President's job performance received a 54% positive evaluation. Negative evaluations stood at 36%, with 10% withholding their opinion.

In this survey, 54% responded that the President is performing well in office. Those who responded that the President is performing poorly accounted for 36%. The remaining 10% were undecided.

Party Support Ratings

The Democratic Party of Korea garnered the highest support at 41%. The People Power Party received 26% of the support. Those who do not support any specific party (unaffiliated) were recorded at 25%.

Comparison to Previous Survey

Compared to the survey conducted on June 25, 2026, the positive evaluation of the President's job performance rose by 3 percentage points from 51% to 54%. Negative evaluations fell by 5 percentage points from 41% to 36%, showing a significant decrease. The undecided segment increased by 3 percentage points, from 7% to 10%.

In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea maintained its previous figure of 41%. Support for the People Power Party declined by 1 percentage point from 27% to 26%. The unaffiliated segment increased by 2 percentage points from 23% to 25%.

Regarding party support, the Democratic Party of Korea remained unchanged at 41% from the previous survey. The People Power Party's support rate showed a downward trend, dropping by 3 percentage points from 29% to 26%. The proportion of unaffiliated voters increased by 4 percentage points from 21% to 25%.
