Realmeter Survey: President Disapproval at 49.2%… Democratic Party 43%, PPP 40.3% in 'Dead Heat'

According to the Realmeter opinion poll, President's job performance approval rating stood at 47%, while disapproval was recorded at 49.2%. In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 43% and the People Power Party 40.3%, indicating a close race within the margin of error.

President Job Performance and Party Support

The negative assessment of the President's job performance was 2.2 percentage points higher than the positive assessment. Looking at party support, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded the highest figure at 43%, followed by the People Power Party at 40.3%. The gap between the two parties is 2.7 percentage points, which is within the margin of error, indicating a statistical dead heat. The Reform Party recorded 3%, the Rebuilding Korea Party 1.9%, and the Progressive Party 1.6%.

Trend Changes Compared to Previous Survey

The downward trend in negative assessment of the President's job performance continues. After recording 49.7% in the June 22, 2026 survey and 49.5% in the June 29 survey, it marked 49.2% in the latest survey, falling for the third consecutive time. Positive approval ratings fell slightly from 46.7% to 46.5% during the same period, but rebounded to 47% in this survey.

In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea shows a clear upward trend. The Democratic Party's support, which was 40.1% on June 22, rose to 41% on June 29 and reached 43% in this survey. During the same period, the People Power Party showed a decline from 42.3% to 40.3%.

Compared to the survey on June 29 last week, the Democratic Party rose by 2.0 percentage points, while the People Power Party fell by 1.7 percentage points. The Rebuilding Korea Party also fell by 1.8 percentage points from 3.7% to 1.9% during the same period. Meanwhile, the Progressive Party and the Reform Party rose by 0.1 percentage points and 0.2 percentage points, respectively.
