Chairman Chey Tae-won Emphasizes Redesigning Ways of Working for AI Era…Expectations for New Growth
Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) Chairman Chey Tae-won emphasized that "we need a fundamental Re-Architecting of the way we work itself to meet the era of artificial intelligence (AI)." Chairman Chey made this remark during an opening speech at the '49th FKI Jeju Forum' held at Jeju Shilla Hotel on the 15th. Comparing the current level of AI to a 4- or 5-year-old child, Chey mentioned that AI must be matured through continuous data learning and questioning.
Some 500 people attended the forum, including Chairman Chey, National Assembly Speaker Cho Jung-sik, FKI chairpersons from across the country, and major business leaders. In particular, Speaker Cho attended the summer forum for the first time as the head of the National Assembly.
National Assembly Speaker Cho Jung-sik congratulated SK hynix on its listing on the U.S. Nasdaq and emphasized all-around investment, including the construction of the Honam semiconductor cluster. Speaker Cho evaluated the listing as an achievement of attracting the largest investment amount among foreign companies listed on the U.S. stock market.
Meanwhile, on the second day of the forum, the 16th, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Duk-geun will give a lecture under the theme 'The Three Major Challenges for Our Economy.' On the final day of the forum, the 18th, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yu In-chon will give a lecture on 'Policy Directions for the K-Culture Industry.'
