German Robotics Startup Aims for Doubled Revenue This Year
German startup Agile Robots is targeting a doubling of its revenue this year, aiming to surpass last year's figure of 300 million euros. The company plans to accelerate growth based on existing customer contracts and its accumulated experience in manufacturing facilities.
Agile Robots secured a significant boost for technology development and market expansion through a $1.5 billion investment led by SoftBank. Since its founding in 2018, the company has focused on acquiring over 12 firms, including Idealworks and Germany's thyssenkrupp System Engineering, to build manufacturing experience and establish trust with global manufacturers.
Collaborating with Google DeepMind, Agile Robots is enhancing its robot performance by integrating the Gemini Robotics AI model. The company is improving operational precision using real manufacturing process data and aims to achieve profitability within two to three years.
This growth is underpinned by practical factory experience and trust, which are difficult for startups to obtain. Agile Robots is expanding its presence in the global manufacturing market through customized engineering technology that redesigns robot systems to fit actual factory environments.
