Democratic Party Announces Online Primary Results for Jeju and Incheon Party Members

The Democratic Party's Election Management Committee on the 9th released the results of online voting by party members in Jeju and Incheon. This announcement is merely the regional vote tally, not yet reflecting weighting for strategic regions, and is a standard procedure for electing the party leader and Supreme Council members at the national convention on August 17th.

In the party leadership race, candidate Kim Min-seok leads with a cumulative vote share of 46.01%, but the gap with second-place candidate Chung Chun-rae has narrowed to 1.48 percentage points (3,086 votes). In the Supreme Council race, candidate Choi Min-hee maintains first place with a cumulative vote share of 20.27%.

Voting remains for the Honam region on the 11th and for Seoul and Gyeonggi regions on the 16th. The final vote percentages could change at any time depending on these outcomes.
