Ceremony marking 81st Liberation Anniversary held at Bosingak, attended by Mayor Oh Se-hoon and others

A commemorative bell-ringing ceremony was held at Bosingak in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to mark the 81st anniversary of Liberation Day, attended by Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairman Im Man-kyun, and descendants of independence activists, among others.

Descendants of independence patriots recommended by the Association of Independence Patriots rang the bell personally to reflect on the nation's independence, and despite the sweltering heat, many citizens gathered to watch the performances, including the display of the Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) by Jingwansa.

An exhibition of holograms of independence activists, restored using artificial intelligence, was also held concurrently.
