Trump Aide Posted Over 150 Election Denier Posts on Day of Capitol Attack

Citing a CNN report on the 23rd (local time), it was confirmed that Natalie Harp, a top White House aide to Donald Trump, posted over 150 messages disputing the election results during the 2021 U.S. Capitol riot. The posts Harp published at the time reportedly praised those advocating for Trump to extend his hold on power and depicted Trump and his inner circle as heroes.

David Cohen, a political science professor at the University of Akron who studies the American presidency, remarked that "Harp has proven herself to be an aide who is totally loyal and sycophantic toward Trump." He added, "Trump dislikes being questioned but loves being adored, and Harp is doing exactly that."

In a 'Real America's Voice' interview released on August 11, 2026, President Trump did not rule out declaring a national security emergency regarding the election. The White House stated it would not answer hypothetical questions regarding a potential national emergency. Former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon also mentioned the possibility of a major event on his podcast on July 29, 2026, telling listeners to 'keep the last week of August open.'

The White House and aide Harp did not respond to requests for comment regarding the posts. It remains unclear when the posts disappeared, whether Harp deleted them herself, or if X suspended the account.

Recently, Harp's role came into the public spotlight after Senator Jon Ossoff mentioned her name while criticizing President Trump.
