Government to Announce Projected 100 Trillion Won Increase in Tax Revenue Next Year

Minister of Economy and Finance Park Hong-sik stated on the 24th at a plenary meeting of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts that the government would soon release its forecast regarding projections that next year's tax revenue would increase by more than 100 trillion won compared to the government's medium-term fiscal plan outlook.

Minister Park mentioned that the source for the special tax for rural communities increased by approximately 10 trillion won due to a surge in securities transaction tax, revealing that the government is currently considering ways to utilize this to contribute to rural development and agricultural growth.

This suggests the government's policy direction to use financial resources secured from increased tax revenue for specific policy goals, such as support for rural areas.
