Government Declares Goal to Commercialize Level 4 Autonomous Driving by 2027

The future of the automobile is accelerating. The government has officially declared its goal to achieve 'commercialization of Level 4 autonomous driving' by 2027. Level 4 refers to the stage where driving is possible without driver intervention.

This announcement was made at the recently held 'Future Mobility Week' event, where advanced technologies such as electric vehicles and autonomous driving were gathered in one place to present plans for revitalizing the domestic future car market. Volvo Korea Managing Director Lee Man-sik stated, "Customers come before competitors."

At the event venue, a number of new cars featuring advanced technologies were unveiled. Ferrari unveiled its new vehicle 'Luce,' equipped with OLED technology developed over four years. Genesis unveiled the ultra-high-end electric vehicle GV90, and foreign media introduced the GV90 by comparing it with Rolls-Royce and Chinese electric vehicles. According to foreign media reports, it is known that customers flocked to the new Ferrari and Rolls-Royce vehicles.
