Presidential Disapproval Surges 5 Points to 50%

Negative assessment of the president's job performance has reached 50%. In a Gallup Korea poll conducted nationwide, the positive rating stood at 42%, trailing the negative rating by 8 percentage points. Respondents who withheld their opinion accounted for 8%.

Presidential Job Performance Evaluation

42% of respondents evaluated that the president is doing his job well. 50% responded that he is doing poorly. The number of respondents who reserved judgment on either side was 8%.

Party Support Ratings

Regarding party support ratings, the Democratic Party stood at 39% and the People Power Party at 25%. The gap between the two parties was calculated at 14 percentage points. Those without a party they supported accounted for 26%.

Comparison with Previous Survey

In the previous survey conducted on the 20th, the positive rating for job performance was 45% and the negative rating was 45%. In this survey, the positive rating fell 3 percentage points to 42%. The negative rating rose sharply by 5 percentage points to 50%. The 'withheld opinion' response decreased by 3 percentage points from 11% to 8%.

In the survey conducted on the 13th of this month, positive ratings were 44%, negative ratings 46%, and withheld opinions 10%. Compared to the latest survey, positive ratings fell by 2 percentage points, negative ratings rose by 4 percentage points, and withheld opinions also decreased by 2 percentage points.

In terms of party support, the Democratic Party recorded 41% in surveys on the 13th and 20th, falling to 39% in this survey. The People Power Party maintained 25% across all three surveys. The proportion of independents dropped from 28% on the 13th to 26% on the 20th, showing the same figure in this survey.
