Chinese Woman in Her 50s Arrested for Fatally Stabbing Her Mother in Her 70s

A Chinese woman in her 50s has been arrested on charges of fatally stabbing her mother in her 70s, with whom she was living. The Ansan Sangrok Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that Ms. A, in her 50s, suspected of parricide, was arrested on the 27th. Ms. A is accused of stabbing her mother to death in a multi-family house in Sangrok District, Ansan, at around 1 a.m. the previous day.

Immediately after the crime, Ms. A notified an acquaintance of the murder and was arrested at the scene by police who responded to the acquaintance's report. During the police investigation, Ms. A stated that she committed the crime impulsively after getting into an argument with her mother while under the influence of alcohol.

The court issued an arrest warrant for Ms. A, citing concerns over the risk of flight. A police official said they plan to investigate the exact motive and circumstances of the crime through questioning of the arrested suspect.
