U.S. President Donald Trump said he will soon make a 'decision' on Iran, invoking an 'easy path' and a 'hard path' and leaving open the possibility of further action, according to CBS News. President Trump met with reporters at the White House on Friday (local time) before attending a midterm election rally in Vandalia, Ohio, saying, "I will be making a decision on Iran." The remarks came as the U.S. administration discussed how to respond to the war with Iran and rising tensions in the Middle East.

President Trump noted that "Iran has already taken a big hit." On future action, he suggested he would "consider whether to do it the easy way or the hard way." He did not, however, explain what specific decision was under consideration.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also weighed in on the matter on Friday. Meeting with reporters, Hegseth emphasized that the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is "airtight." He added that if Iran takes further action in the strait, President Trump "has all options necessary on the table."
