Egypt's President Sisi to Make Three-Day State Visit to South Korea Starting on the 7th

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will make a three-day state visit to South Korea starting on the 7th at the invitation of President Lee Jae-myung, with a summit on the 8th set to discuss economic cooperation, including trade, investment, and supply chains, as well as regional affairs.

The president's schedule will begin with an official welcoming ceremony on the morning of the 8th, followed in order by a summit, a signing ceremony for memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and a state luncheon.

The summit will address economic cooperation agenda items such as trade and investment, infrastructure, and supply chains. The two leaders will also discuss ways to expand people-to-people exchanges, as well as regional conditions and international issues.

Egypt sits at a strategic hub of international logistics linking Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. South Korea and Egypt have strengthened cooperation in economics, culture, education, and other fields since establishing diplomatic ties in 1995.
