Chief Justice Cho Hee-de revises remarks to call 'second Yoon Suk-yeol' question 'insulting'
Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Cho Hee-de, speaking at the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee audit of the Supreme Court in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 6th, responded to questions from Son Sol of the Progressive Party — "Do you dream of becoming a second Yoon Suk-yeol?" and "Are you doing politics in judicial robes?" — by saying, "Such remarks are far too insulting, and a sad thing."
Cho did not attend the afternoon session of the audit due to health reasons. As committee chair Seo Young-kyo refused to permit Cho's absence, the ruling and opposition parties traded heated words over whether he should be excused.
