Public Data Report for October 9: Daehun Environment and Others Active in Procurement Market
Government procurement, hiring, and crowdfunding moved in parallel.
A comprehensive review of corporate public data shows activity across 175 companies spread evenly across procurement, hiring, and crowdfunding. The key takeaway of this analysis is the balanced movement, not skewed toward any single area. From consumer-facing fundraising to entry into public markets and talent acquisition, companies appear to be strengthening their business foundations in multiple directions.
Public Procurement: A Growth Engine for Regional SMEs
In procurement, environment and forestry-related companies such as Daehun Environment, Daekyung Forest Development, and Ltd. Forest Resources Development stood out. Public contracts through the Public Procurement Service's Nara Marketplace carry significant meaning as they provide small and medium-sized enterprises with stable revenue streams. Numerous technology and safety specialists were also included, such as Jinwoo ATS, Innovation Safety Technology Co., and Astone Engineering.
Particularly notable is the share of architecture and engineering services. Design, surveying, and information services firms such as Hanbit Engineering Architects Office Co., Hanin Comprehensive Architects Office Co., and Geumgang Geographic Information Co. successively entered the procurement market. This is read as a signal that public infrastructure projects are expanding to private specialist service providers. Procurement participation by a financial sector company, Kyobo Lifeplanet Life Insurance, was also confirmed, indicating a broadening industry spectrum in the public market.
Hiring: A Talent Race Spanning Manufacturing, Gaming, and Education
Hiring trends directly reflect demand across industries. Renewpeople Co. simultaneously recruited for a wide range of positions, from global game master to research head, overseas sales team leader for automotive defense PCBs, and expatriate staff for a Vietnamese production plant. Its strategy of expanding overseas production bases and export sales is evident in its hiring as well.
Technical roles also grew more prominent. Human Consulting Group sought developers for payroll processing systems including year-end tax settlement modules, and JSI Co. posted a job opening for an automation control programmer. Raon Search's recruitment of an experienced environment, health and safety professional at an advanced chemicals manufacturer shows ESG management extending into the HR domain. In education, Shop Music, Saenghak Academy, and ESC English Academy sought talent broadly, from early childhood music instructors to math teachers and administrative staff.
Crowdfunding: New Products Put to the Consumer Test
Food and household goods were strong on crowdfunding platforms such as Wadiz. Food brand On & Pa raised about 15.7 million won thanks to its oversized fruits, and a charcuterie specialty brand recorded about 870,000 won on its first project. Truvo, which launched a travel sling bag, raised about 2.92 million won, showing solid backing for practical goods.
The advance of AI-powered products and services is also notable. Sokon's AI content production project raised about 3.8 million won, and an AI service-building tool for non-developers secured about 1.79 million won in backing. It is significant that consumers have begun opening their wallets not for finished products but for tools that create. LOOK AT ME ran projects back to back—a cooling pouch, silicone body shower pad, and wrist-mounted smartphone holder—showing a multi-product-per-brand strategy becoming an established success formula.
What Balanced Activity Tells Us
Viewed together, the movement across the three fields confirms the health of corporate activity. Companies secure stable contracts in the public market, fuel growth through hiring, and pre-test consumer response through crowdfunding. Since consumer wallets are the market's vote, the size of crowdfunding pledges is interpreted as proof that differentiated products receive responses even in a relatively conservative market environment.
That said, it is worth noting that some companies faced sanctions from the Fair Trade Commission, and some cases were classified as involving negative issues. The principle that compliance and transparent information disclosure are prerequisites for corporate trust remains unchanged as companies grow.
Going forward, the funding success rate of AI-based product lines and whether overseas manufacturing roles see expanded hiring will be key points to watch. If the government continues its policy of opening the public procurement market, participation by regional small and medium-sized specialist firms is expected to broaden further. What the data shows is not a mere list of numbers, but a vivid snapshot of companies moving multiple markets at once.
