The ruling and opposition parties clashed during a parliamentary audit over the government's plan to reform the education subsidy (a comprehensive financial grant the central government provides for local education). At the National Assembly audit of the Education Committee, the ruling party, which is pushing to pass the reform plan, collided with the opposition, which maintains its stance against it.

The opposition argued that implementing the reform would significantly reduce regional education finances. Progressive education superintendents also voiced concerns over a sharp decline in education budgets, taking the same position as the opposition.

During the same audit, the ruling and opposition parties continued to trade barbs over their children's issues. Lawmakers from both sides raised issues regarding the children of figures from the opposing camp, with questions alternating between Prime Minister Kim Min-seok's son and former party leader Han Dong-hoon's daughter.
