Doctor injured in knife attack at Severance Hospital in Sinchon

A knife attack at an examination room at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul, left one doctor injured. According to police, a report came in from the hospital's psychiatry department at around 4:30 p.m. that day.

The victim, a professor at the hospital, sustained a cut of about 5 cm but the injury is reportedly not life-threatening.

Police arrested the suspect, believed to be in his 50s, at the scene on charges of aggravated assault. The attack took place inside the examination room. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the crime.
