Lotte, other food companies cut prices on snacks, ice cream, bread

Major food companies have decided to lower prices on snacks, ice cream, and bread in line with the government's price stabilization policy, expected to ease the burden on consumers' grocery bills.

Lotte Wellfood will reduce the price of Mom's Hand Pie by 2.9%, lower the wholesale prices of three types of candies, including Green Grape and Peach, by 4% each, and adjust the prices of two ice cream products, such as Chaltteok Milk Bingsu Seol and Soda Flavor Pencil, down by an average of 13.4%. It will also lower the prices of two bread products, including Girin Wang Manju and Girin Honey Hotteok Bites, by an average of 6.0%.

Haitai Confectionery will cut the prices of two types of biscuits, including Egg Cookie Bebe Pin and Lolly Polly, by an average of 5.0%.

Samlip will lower the prices of five products, including Pokemon Goos Chocolate Cake and California Walnut Cream Sandwich, by an average of 5.0%.

Orion will reduce the convenience store supply prices of three products, including Bebae, Bio Candy, and Orion Wafers, by an average of 5.5% starting with shipments in April.

Binggrae will lower the wholesale prices of ice cream products, such as Ring Key Bar and Guseul Polapo, by an average of 8.2% from April 1.
