Comedian Jang Dong-min to Star in New Fact-Checking Variety Show 'Betting on Fact'

Comedian Jang Dong-min will appear in Wavve's new original variety show, 'Betting on Fact,' which judges fake news. The program, set to be released on the 27th, is a fact-finding survival show where eight contestants, isolated from the outside world, determine the authenticity of news.

The program addresses the issue of 'fake news' in the age of information overload, adding a fresh element by incorporating the game mechanics of 'coin betting.' The contestants will engage in a battle of wits to filter out cleverly designed fake news amidst limited information.

The cast comprises a total of eight individuals, including political and social figures such as former Democratic Party Supreme Council member Park Sung-min, former People Power Party spokesperson Kang Jeon-ae, Professor Chin Jung-kwon, and current affairs YouTuber Helmouse, alongside comedian Lee Yong-jin, singer-actor Yewon, and current affairs YouTuber Jung Young-jin.
