Samsung Electronics, KB Partner to Boost Digital Health Services for Seniors

Samsung Electronics is joining forces with KB Life and KB Golden Life Care to establish a digital healthcare service system that allows seniors to conveniently manage their health at home using home appliances and mobile devices. The three parties, who signed a business agreement on March 18th, plan to create an IT-based health management ecosystem to enhance the quality of life in retirement by combining Samsung Electronics' innovative technological capabilities, KB Life's expertise in senior care, and KB Golden Life Care's operational experience.

This collaboration aims to strengthen senior-tailored services by integrating Samsung Electronics' technology, KB Life's senior care expertise, and KB Golden Life Care's operational experience. Samsung Electronics, together with KB Life and KB Golden Life Care, will move forward with enhancing health management services utilizing senior-specialized wearable devices like the Galaxy Watch, as well as residential environment solutions based on SmartThings Pro and AI-powered home appliances.

These agreements are aimed at advancing senior-specific wearable-based health management services and AI appliance-based residential environment solutions. Using SmartThings Pro, functions will be enhanced to manage indoor temperature, humidity, and air quality, increase energy efficiency through integrated control of AI appliances, and enable immediate response to safety incidents via sensors such as in-bathroom presence detectors.
