Colombian Immigrant Pleads Guilty to Sex Assault of 14-Year-Old Boy
A 31-year-old Colombian immigrant, Nicol Alexandra Contreras-Suarez, has pleaded guilty in court to charges of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy in New York City. The crime occurred on February 11, 2025, at a store near Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem, and she was arrested the following day, February 12. Initially indicted on charges of first-degree rape against a child and stalking, she subsequently admitted guilt to second-degree rape.
The Manhattan Supreme Court judge indicated Contreras-Suarez would be sentenced to six months in jail. The defendant is expected to be released on April 27, 2026, after receiving credit for time served, and will be deported following her release due to the felony conviction.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and New York immigration authorities have issued detainers to secure the defendant's custody. Deportation proceedings will commence immediately upon the expiration of her sentence. Prosecutors collaborated with the victim's family to finalize the plea agreement.
