Hwang Un-ha Urges Swift Passage of Special Administrative Capital Act
Lawmaker Hwang Un-ha of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party has officially requested the priority processing of the Special Act on the Administrative Capital at the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee's legislative subcommittee meeting scheduled for the 30th. Hwang pointed out the possibility of the bill, which has no inter-party disagreement, being delayed due to a simple scheduling issue, stating that under the current order, its deliberation on the 30th would be virtually impossible.
This bill is a national agenda item included in the 50th task of the 123rd state agenda, and it is a matter for which figures such as Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party, Song Eon-seok, floor leader of the People Power Party, and Jeong Cheong-rae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, have promised swift processing.
In addition to the bill proposed by Hwang Un-ha, legislative proposals co-sponsored by lawmakers Bok Ki-wang and Uhm Tae-young have also been submitted to the land subcommittee. Among the 65 bills (16 items for consolidated deliberation) to be reviewed by the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee's legislative subcommittee on the 30th, the Special Act on the Administrative Capital is currently scheduled as the very last item.
Lawmaker Hwang Un-ha plans to urge the immediate processing of the Special Act on the Administrative Capital by moving it to the first position on the agenda during his opening remarks at the legislative subcommittee meeting of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee on the 30th.
