Chungnam National University, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Deepen AI Cooperation

Chungnam National University has officially launched cooperation with the US's UIUC to establish an AI-based global innovation hub. The two universities discussed expanding their existing cooperation, which focused on student exchange, into joint education and research in the field of artificial intelligence.

On May 5th, the first day of the visit, a meeting was held with Chungnam National University exchange students studying at UIUC to check on their academic and daily lives locally. On May 6th, they met with UIUC President Charles L. Isbell, Jr.

Through these discussions, the two universities reached a consensus on future-oriented cooperation directions, including establishing a system for nurturing global AI talent, expanding joint AI convergence research, cooperating on field-based practical research platforms, and jointly building global educational and research hubs.
