Cheongju Teen Assaults Elementary Students, Extorts Valuables

An incident occurred in Cheongju, Chungbuk, where a teenager assaulted elementary school students and stole their belongings. Suspect A is accused of assaulting three elementary school students and taking two mobile phones on a street in Cheongju on the 28th of last month. He was also found to have threatened the victims, saying, "If you report to the police, I will retaliate."

The accused teenager, identified as A, is currently under investigation after being sent to the 'Juvenile Classification Review Board,' which assesses juvenile offenses and determines future protective measures and actions. Police determined that A committed the repeat offense while already under investigation for eight charges, including extortion, assault, and theft.

Consequently, police obtained an emergency apprehension warrant from the court and transferred A to the Juvenile Classification Review Board.
