Korea Real Estate Board: Nationwide Apartment Prices Up 0.04%

The Korea Real Estate Board announced on the 9th that based on April 6 figures, nationwide weekly apartment sales prices saw a slight increase, and rental prices rose by 0.09%.

Nationwide apartment sales prices rose 0.04%. The Seoul Metropolitan Area saw a 0.07% increase, with Seoul itself rising 0.10%. Provincial areas increased by 0.01%, while the five major metropolitan cities remained flat. Sejong saw a 0.04% decrease, and the eight provinces increased by 0.03%. By region, Ulsan rose 0.12%, North Jeolla Province 0.09%, and Gyeonggi Province 0.07%. However, Gwangju fell 0.06%, Jeju fell 0.04%, and North Gyeongsang Province fell 0.02%. Among the 181 cities and districts surveyed nationwide, 95 areas saw increases, 9 remained flat, and 77 saw decreases. Within the Seoul Metropolitan Area, Seoul averaged a 0.10% increase. The 14 districts in Northern Seoul averaged a 0.13% rise, and the 11 districts in Southern Seoul averaged a 0.07% increase. Gyeonggi Province averaged a 0.07% increase, while the Incheon area remained flat.

Nationwide weekly apartment rental prices rose 0.09%. The Seoul Metropolitan Area increased by 0.07%, with Seoul itself up 0.07%, and provincial areas up 0.10%. The five major metropolitan cities rose 0.06%, Sejong rose 0.15%, and the eight provinces also saw a 0.04% increase. High rental price growth was observed in areas such as Muan County, South Jeolla Province (0.65%), Yeosu City (0.11%), Buk-gu in Ulsan (0.17%), and Yeonje-gu in Busan (0.18%). North Gyeongsang Province and South Chungcheong Province remained flat, while Jeju (-0.03%) and Gangwon (-0.01%) saw slight decreases.
