Daejeon Women Entrepreneurs Association Declares Push to Strengthen Science Leadership

In Daejeon, a city renowned for science and technology, women entrepreneurs have announced a new beginning to lead regional economic development. The Daejeon Women Entrepreneurs Association held its founding ceremony and officially launched, declaring its commitment to strengthening women's leadership in the science sector and contributing to economic growth. The association's establishment embodies the resolve to support the economic challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the Daejeon region and serve as a driving force for the advancement of Daejeon, a science city.

The founding anniversary ceremony was attended by approximately 100 members, along with dignitaries including Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo and Daejeon City Council Chairman Cho Won-hwi. The event featured an official proclamation of the association's founding, a mutual cooperation agreement ceremony, and a vision declaration to become key players in the Daejeon economy.

Kim Do-kyung, the association's first president, stated her intention to invigorate the regional economy by merging 'science,' the symbol of Daejeon as a science city, with women's leadership. She emphasized that the association's launch signifies the positioning of women entrepreneurs as central figures in Daejeon's evolution into a leading economic city.
