With the upcoming local elections, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok, and former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon are accelerating their independent political moves. Amidst the weakening leadership of the main opposition party, the necessity of an 'Oh-Lee-Han' alliance has been raised by some within the conservative camp. However, differing strategic calculations for securing leadership in conservative realignments after the local elections mean that their 'my way' approaches are taking precedence.

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, after his demand for an early launch of an innovation election committee to the People Power Party leadership under Jang Dong-hyuk was rejected, is reportedly considering forming his own election committee, planning to contest the election by distancing himself from the central party.

Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok has drawn a line on election alliances with the People Power Party and is preparing for an independent election campaign. He plans to nominate candidates for major metropolitan government posts in areas such as Seoul, Busan, and Daegu, and is attempting to expand his influence by contacting politicians affiliated with the People Power Party.

Former PPP leader Han Dong-hoon, who was expelled from the party, is considering running in Busan's Buk-gu, Gap district, aiming to enter the National Assembly. If successful, he is expected to seek readmission to the party and regain party leadership.
