Choi Bo-yoon, Senior Spokesperson for the People Power Party, held a press briefing at the National Assembly Communications Center on April 12, defining the overall crisis currently facing South Korea as 'privatization of power' and 'neglect of public welfare,' while criticizing the Democratic Party's policies and personnel practices and arguing that the Lee Jae-myung administration's reckless drive must be stopped.

Senior Spokesperson Choi pointed out that the Democratic Party called the remarks by candidate Yang Seung-jo, who referred to voters as 'idiots,' a 'grave insult' and urged his resignation, condemning it as trampling on the pride of Chungnam residents and an insult to the 'freedom of choice.'

People Power Party Senior Spokesperson Choi Bo-yoon characterized the favorable non-prosecution ruling by the joint investigation headquarters for lawmaker Jeon Jae-soo as 'issuing a get-out-of-jail-free card,' criticizing the act of covering up the case under the pretext of the statute of limitations, despite the investigative agency acknowledging circumstances of receiving luxury watches, as a kick in the face to the rule of law.

Furthermore, regarding the appointment of Seo Seung-man as the representative of the National Jeongdong Theater due to 'code appointments' in the cultural and arts sector, Senior Spokesperson Choi defined it as a 'politically rewarded appointment,' stating it was an appointment based solely on political loyalty rather than artistic expertise, and demanded its immediate withdrawal.

Regarding real estate issues, Senior Spokesperson Choi argued that the government is 'demonizing' redevelopment, thus shutting down the engine of supply, and pushing the lives of ordinary people and the elderly, who live in aging housing environments, to the brink.

Senior Spokesperson Choi pointed out that the Lee Jae-myung administration is eroding its diplomatic credibility by exhibiting a double standard of remaining silent on human rights abuses in North Korea while lecturing on international disputes from a moral high ground.
