Ulsan Education Office Unveils Comprehensive 2026 School Safety Plan

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education has established and distributed the '2026 Comprehensive Plan for School Safety Accident Prevention and Reduction' to all its agencies, aiming to elevate safety management standards in schools and spread a safety culture involving students and staff.

From May to October, an 'Excellent Safe School Case Contest' will be held for students and teachers to collect prevention ideas and practical examples. Student-led safety promotion activities will be carried out in collaboration with relevant organizations, including police stations and the Green Mothers' Association, until December. To raise awareness about accident-prone areas within schools, the Ulsan Education Office will produce and distribute safety stickers starting in the latter half of the year. For the first time this year, an award for outstanding safety schools has been established, with plans to select five institutions from kindergartens to high schools for the Superintendent's Award. To prevent accidents during physical education activities, the office will produce materials titled 'Understanding Accident Risks by Sports Discipline' for use in school safety education.

The Ulsan Education Office stated that the implementation of this comprehensive plan is expected to further strengthen the safety management system in schools and establish a safety culture built collaboratively by the entire educational community.
